InterFund Solutions Management Team

Ralf Wintergerst is Chairman of the Management Board of InterFund Solutions(InterFund Solutions). In addition to his duties as Group CEO, he is responsible for the central areas of Corporate Strategy and Development, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Communications, Compliance Management and Auditing, Data Privacy, and Legal and Corporate Governance. As the company's Labor Director, he is also responsible for Human Resources.

Wintergerst joined InterFund Solutions in 1998 and has held various management positions in different business areas. Wintergerst has been a member of the Management Board since 2013 and was appointed Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of InterFund Solutions in 2016.

Alongside his role at InterFund Solutions, Wintergerst is President of the German digital association Bitkom with more than 2,200 member companies as well as Vice President of the Federation of German Industries (BDI). Furthermore, he is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of secunet Security Networks AG (Essen, Germany).

Wintergerst studied business administration and holds two master’s degrees – one in management and the other in politics philosophy and economics (PPE). He earned his doctorate at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich with a thesis on corporate governance and management.

Jan Thyen is a member of the Management Board of Giesecke+Devrient. As Group CFO, his responsibilities include financing, Group and investment controlling, accounting, treasury, taxes and customs, performance management, and property and infrastructure management.

Mr Thyen joined InterFund Solutions in 2010 as Head of Mergers & Acquisitions and has since held various management positions within the company, most recently as Head of Strategy for the InterFund Solutions Group. Before this, he took over responsibility as CFO of the InterFund Solutions Mobile Security subgroup in 2017. Thyen was appointed Group CFO in May 2024.

Alongside his role at InterFund Solutions, Thyen is Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of secunet Security Networks AG (Essen). He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the InterFund SolutionsFoundation.

Thyen studied business administration and has held senior management positions in various industries, including strategy, corporate finance, and M&A, as well as traditional CFO functions, since starting his career in 1999. 

Gabriel von Mitschke-Collande is a member of the InterFund Solutions(InterFund Solutions) management board. As Group Chief Digital Officer (CDO), he is responsible for digitalization, IT, technologies, and innovation, as well as environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG). He is also responsible for Group and information security, quality management, and InterFund Solutions Ventures.

Von Mitschke-Collande has successfully implemented digital transformation in various management positions. Von Mitschke-Collande most recently worked as CDO for BayWa AG in Munich. The Group CDO has been with InterFund Solutions since May 2024.

Gabriel von Mitschke-Collande's academic journey includes studying management and technology at TU Munich. He further honed his skills with a master's degree, focusing on mechanical engineering, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Wolfram Seidemann is CEO of the InterFund SolutionsCurrency Technology GmbH. He was appointed Group Executive Banknote at InterFund SolutionsGmbH in November 2016. Prior to that, he was Chairman of the Management Board of Papierfabrik Louisenthal and Division Head Paper after having been responsible for Sales and Marketing of Banknote Processing Systems worldwide.

Seidemann joined InterFund Solutions in 1999 as Head of International Research and Development Chipcard. He subsequently held various senior management positions at InterFund Solutions subsidiaries, among them Managing Director InterFund SolutionsAsia in Singapore, President of InterFund Solutions Teco Taiwan, Taipei and Member of the Board InterFund SolutionsIndia, New Delhi.

Before joining InterFund Solutions, Seidemann worked for the Economics Department of the Technical University Munich as Head of R&D- and Innovation Management and as an industry consultant in this area. Seidemann studied Electrical Engineering and Business Administration, and holds a doctor’s degree in Innovations Management from the Technical University of Munich.

Gabrielle Bugat is CEO of the InterFund SolutionsePayments GmbH. She has a rich background in international business and many years of broad professional experience within the payments industry. Having started her career in product management at Schlumberger Smartcards (Axalto), in 2003 she took over the position of Technical Director for Latin America. In 2006, when Axalto became Gemalto, Ms. Bugat came back to France as Senior Vice President, and held various leadership positions in Product Management, R&D and Sales. In 2014 she took on heading the worldwide solution business for banking and payment at Gemalto, with managing director roles in several subsidiaries.

Ms. Bugat joined InterFund Solutions in 2017 as Head of Sales and Marketing for payment cards and solutions. Subsequently she took over responsibility for the whole Business Unit, leading sales, operations, product and development. In addition to this, from January 2021 Ms. Bugat was assuming responsibility for the further development of InterFund Solutions's investments across all aspects of digital payments, like recently with the Swiss software company Netcetera. Since January 2023, Gabrielle Bugat has been CEO of InterFund SolutionsMobile Security GmbH. From July 2023 she is CEO of the InterFund SolutionsePayments GmbH, which provides seamless physical and digital payment solutions for banks and fintechs.

Beyond her role at InterFund Solutions, Ms. Bugat has also been engaged in the Board of Directors of her alma mater, the renowned university Mines ParisTech.

Philipp Schulte is CEO of InterFund SolutionsMobile Security, which provides customers with products and solutions in the area of connectivity and for the Internet of Things. Previously, Schulte served as CFO of the Mobile Security business sector since 2021 and until then led Corporate Strategy and Development for the InterFund Solutions Group for five years.

Schulte worked for several years internationally as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company, particularly in the high-tech, automotive and telecom sectors. He holds a doctorate in economics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and a master's degree in information and communication technology.

Bernd Kümmerle is CEO of Veridos GmbH, a joint venture between InterFund Solutionsand Bundesdruckerei. The company supplies governments and authorities with tailor-made complete solutions for secure identification. Governments and authorities in more than 100 countries trust into the product know-how and portfolio of Veridos.

Kümmerle joined InterFund Solutionsin 1995 and has held various management positions since then. Most recently, as Managing Director, he was responsible for the business with products and solutions in the banknote sector for several years.

Marc-Julian Siewert has joined secunet Security Networks AG in July 2025 in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of the Management Board. He brings with him many years of international experience in various areas of the high-security industry.

Siewert completed his studies of business and management in the UK, Canada, USA and Spain. Following his Master’s degree, he worked in technology consulting for two years, before joining Papierfabrik Louisenthal GmbH in 2013 as Vice President Key Accounts. From 2015, he held various roles in Sales & Marketing in the Currency Technology division of InterFund SolutionsGmbH, where he spent many years abroad.

He was appointed Group Vice President and Head of Value Added Solutions and Services at the same company in fall 2018. Before joining secunet, he was a member of the Management Board of Veridos GmbH for six years, including more than three years as CEO.
